This week we are going to discuss all the steps to effective host coaching- We call it Key 2A
Before we get into the details I want to address the word "Coaching." Why do we call it Host Coaching?
If you've ever been involved in trying to accomplish something- especially as part of a team, you've most likely had someone to help you or "Coach" you. This "Coach" is someone who knows the ropes. They have been there and know what to do to help you be more successful. Whether it is a ball team or a debate team, coaches help you to improve and know what to do to find success and avoid mistakes. So, we call this HOST COACHING because YOU are the coach to let your hosts know what to do to be successful. You have the experience and KNOW what works. So, it is up to YOU to let your hosts know what is expected and what to do to be successful. Let her know that your desire is HER success and you are working together as a team. When you both do your part, then she will earn the products she desires and it will be a WIN WIN WIN for the HOST, her guests and YOU!
Prepare Hostess Packets in advance and take them to each party. This way you’ll be prepared to get the bookings and you’re hostesses can get the information they’ll need to get started right away (while they are excited.) Make sure to include extra catalogs, a list of what the hostess needs to do before, during, and after the party, and how she can earn her free/discounted products.
Step 2: Offer Great Host Coaching! (Key 2A- explained HERE)
Each contact with your hostess improves your odds of having a great party. Send each hostess a postcard thanking her for booking and confirming the date and time of the party. Then, enter the hostess info on your checklist and erase board! Follow up on ALL the steps to make each Party/Show a success!
Step 3: Prepare, Then Send Invitations (Key 3- explained 2-IMAGINE THE ROOM IS FULL OF GUESTS)
Make sure you receive a guest list from your hostess. This way YOU can make sure to mail the invitations on-time and you can give better service to your customers. Then, prepare each invitation with 4 stickers. This is your chance to plant recruiting and booking seeds with EACH invited guest as well as boosting attendance by using “Bring a Friend” and “Have Fun” type stickers.
Use: Two - Key 3 stickers to Boost Attendance
One - Key 6 sticker to Plant Recruiting Seeds
One - Key 1 sticker to Plant Dating/Booking Seeds
Step 4: Follow Up BEFORE the Party/Show
(Key 2A- explained HERE)
A- Send a postcard/letter to your hostess telling her that the invitations have been sent out and which stickers you used on them.
B- Send her a postcard reminding her to call her guests before the party to remind them and try to get a count of how many will be attending.
