Now that the kids are back in school, I’ve noticed that they accomplish so much more in their day.   In school and their extra curricular activities, they have schedules and systems that lead them to accomplishing their goals.   So, I was thinking that if I want to accomplish goals in my business, I need to be better about following schedules and systems.

Like deadlines, schedules give you feelings of urgency and create results!   Schedules give you a feeling of direction and purpose.   They foster productivity.   Without schedules and systems, we tend to get distracted with life and our business gets forgotten.

If you’re like me, you don’t make your own schedule.   Your schedule is constructed around everyone else’s schedules (i.e. the kid’s school, sports, music lessons, husband’s work, when your customer’s are available, your babysitter’s free time, etc.)   Well, take the time to schedule in the time to work your business.   It’s best to find specific times each day or each week so you can be consistent and your family and friend’s will respect your work schedule.   (For example, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 am- 2 pm for calling and office work, and Monday and Friday evenings for parties.)   You could also plan on stickering your catalogs and invitations while waiting for kids at their lessons.
